A January ram lamb from Stephanie Dick, Cowie, Stirling, made the top price of 1500gns in the Blue Texel Sheep Society’s show and sale in Stirling Agricultural Centre.

Full brother to a Royal Highland first prize ewe lamb, Stephick Kanye West is a single ET-bred lamb by Nantyderri Hazelnut and out of the Cleenagh Alfonso sired Derg Dior. The buyer was W Thompson, Auchentorrie Estate, Dunbarton. Also from the Stephick flock and selling at 1200gns was Stephick Keegan, another January single ram lamb and the same way bred as the top priced lamb. The buyer was R M McConnell, Glenluce, Wigtownshire.

At 1300gns and selling to Holly Buchan, Methlick, Aberdeen, was a Grahams ram lamb from Robert Graham, Kippen, Stirling. Again by the Nantyderri sire, this one is out of the home-bred Grahams Glamourgirl, a Matt’s Escobar daughter. Jamie Halbert and Amy Kerr, Romanno Bridge, West Linton, took a 1000gns bid on their Baa-Hookie Blues Jacobite, a February shearling ram by Nantyderri Hard To Find out of the Cleenagh Eeny Meeny Miny Moe-sired flock ewe Corra Fiona. The buyer was D Philip, Culloden Moor.

Galston vendor David Alexander sold a shearling ewe from his Millside flock for 1300gns, this one is a Dragon Fab daughter out of a home-bred ewe and now resides with Carrie Hunter, Ballindalloch. Another from the same pen sold for 1200gns, this one is a March born twin by Walston Fireball and out of a home-bred ewe with the successful purchasers being C and N Tait, Stromnes, Orkney.
W J and M Hunter, Culsalmond, Insch, sold two shearling ewes at 1200gns apiece. First up was a February born single by Bal-Tor Blues Eddie out of a home-bred dam, selling to A W Nicholson, Stanley, Perthshire, and then a February twin by Hunters Highland Cathedral out of Hunters Glorious, a Bal-Tor Blues Eddie daughter selling to C and N Tait.
