Prices peaked at 2,200gns for the shearling gimmer Knockmult Kaylee from Russell Millen and Seamus Killen’s Knockmult flock, Coleraine, at the Blue Texel Show and Sale, held at Ballymena Livestock Market on July 25th, 2026.
Kaylee, sired by Derg Jackpot, sold to Christina Cormack. The Knockmult partnership dominated the day’s trade with seven entries among the top prices: stablemate Knockmult Klassy, a Balmoral fourth-placed and National Show third-placed gimmer by the same sire, made 1,300gns to Mick Lyons; Knockmult Lynsey and Knockmult Las Vegas both made 1,100gns, to Christina Cormack and Mick Lyons respectively; Knockmult Lion King, sired by the 10k-breeding Sams Houdini, made 800gns to N Cochrane; and Knockmult Land Rover and Knockmult Kacey made 750gns and 650gns, both to David Morrison.
John Travers’s Islandmoyle Blues flock, Newry, sold the Balmoral male champion Islandmoyle Blues Louis Vuitton for 2,100gns to Brian Hanthorn, and added a second lot, Islandmoyle Blues Lamborghini, at 550gns to D Carson.
S Allen and A Shortt’s Derg flock took 1,500gns for Derg Luke the Nuke, out of Derg Gracie, NI National Show Champion in 2025, and a full brother to the 11k GI Joe on the sire’s side. He sold to Francis Donohoe.
George Hanthorn’s Abbey View flock, Tynan, had three lots feature: Abbey View Lady Luxe made 800gns to Mark Copeland, Abbey View Kryptonite made 650gns to W D Bell and L Bradley, and Abbey View Kept Secret made 500gns to S Macauley. All three were out of the flock’s own Abbey View Homegirl, herself out of the 20,000gns Beili Blues Hulk.
Nigel Flanagan’s Vermont flock, Keady, rounded out the day’s top prices with Vermont Kravitz at 600gns to W Martin, Vermont Klass Act at 550gns to John Travers, and Vermont Karma at 500gns to S Macauley.
In all, 43 pedigree Blue Texels sold to a total of 27,226.50gns, averaging 633.17gns a head.
